I look on the time i have left on the corner of the computer i am on at an Internet cafe in PNG and it says 17 minutes! it will definitely take longer than minutes to explain to you my last 3 weeks, but i will do my best, and i will be passing through the Gold Coast before we go to Brea in a couple of days so i will update more then too.
We have been in Pukari village for the past 3 weeks. we saw over 200 salvations, 16 Baptisms, 2 blind people see, a mute person speak, the deaf hear, and the lame walk. It has been an amazing time.
It all started when we arrives, over 1000 people were there to welcome us. We had come in on a boat ride, and when we saw all the people, heard the singing, saw the tears, and smelled the hundred of leis that they gave us i looked at John and said... did we die on the boat ride and now we are in heaven? It literally brought tears to our eyes.
We got to know all the people there so well. We shared tears and laughs with the people. We really got the chance to disciple and tell people that they can have a personal relationship with God.
The ladies were thrilled to hear that they could have someone to always go to in their time of need, and the men were shocked to hear that they weren't saved just because there was a church in their community. God changed many lives, hearts and mindsets and it was amazing to be apart of it.
It all ended with an emotional farewell. Tears came again, exchanging of addresses, long hugs and promises to see each other some day again, if only in heaven. It was a God filled time in Pukari and exciting to be there, and i can honestly say that i will never forget their faces, or thier homes.
Thank God for open hearts and hospitatlity. I know i will always have a family in Pukari, PNG.
If this was Facebook, I would simply click "Like." Hehe. How could I not?
